In the second year of university study, an assignment required an animation to be made involving any two animated characters navigating a maze. The brief specified that the supplied maze that had already been animated must be used and the animation of it must not be amended in any way. The two characters each had to pick up a sphere positioned in the maze and take it to the opposition's starting location. The end result of the assignment was to be one complete, 5 minute movie and one 3ds Max file containing the whole animation within it.
Closer to the deadline, it was decided by the module leaders amend the assignment to make it easier to complete. The option to finish the assignment with multiple Max files was now an option. However, the assignment had already been completed to the original brief, and was presented as one complete Max file.
